Our family had a great time exploring the region and staying at this place. The outdoor hot tub was a fantastic surprise and provided us with a much-needed relaxation after a day of activities. The well-equipped cottage had everything we needed, and the welcome basket of food was a thoughtful touch. Plus, the host made us feel welcome and gave us helpful advice about the area.
There was a slight issue with the living room window, as the faulty mechanism made us nervous to use it. being located on a farm meant there was occasionally a smell, which bothered some members of our party.

We had a fantastic stay at the quiet and peaceful Stables Villa. The property was exceptionally clean and tidy, and had all the amenities we needed. The "welcome box" was a delightful surprise. The host was incredibly accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back soon!
The bathroom was not suitable for individuals with mobility issues. The lack of grab rails and difficult maneuverability made it unsafe and challenging for those who require assistance.

The Stables was a perfect peaceful location for my self-catering holiday. The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable and I loved the convenience of the walk-in shower. The owner really went the extra mile by leaving a fan on in the hot weather and providing a welcome box with goodies and milk. The cottage was well-appointed with everything I needed and the host, Marcella, was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed gazing at the stunning night sky and spotting red kites nearby. The trips to nearby small towns, like Kirkcudbright, were a highlight, and the Greek restaurant in Castle Douglas was well worth a visit.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
